What does Coco Martin want on his birthday? He says, “Nothing. Honestly, it might be embarrassing to say, but almost everything has been given to me, eh. Because, as I said, my wish back then was to have a regular job. And then, now, almost everything has been given to me as a blessing. I really work very hard for whatever I have now.”
Coco Martin celebrated his 10th anniversary as an actor and 33rd birthday at Cities Events Place, in Sgt. Esguerra, Quezon City, last night, October 29.
The exact birthday of the so-called “King of Primetime TV Series” is still November 1, but he and the management of Dreamscape Entertainment, which is in charge of his career, decided to do it earlier.
Part of Coco’s celebration was her gratitude to members of the entertainment press for their tireless support throughout her career, from being an indie actor to being recognized as one of the best actors in local showbiz today.
In an interview with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal), Coco revealed her birthday wish and how she feels about her tenth year as an actress.
The Kapamilya actor opened up, “Of course, good health.
“After so much work, we can finally have time to relax, and of course, for family.”
“[I learned] a lot… I became more careful, thinking about every thing, every step, especially at work.
“Of course, first of all, I don’t like stepping on people, especially women.
“The big lesson I learned here.
“But despite this, it’s funny, because people understand me and they’ve forgiven me.

BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION. Following this is Coco’s admission of her true feelings about the huge celebration that almost everyone she worked with attended and enjoyed.
He said with a smile, “Honestly, I’m not used to it.
“It seems like in my entire life, I’ve never had an occasion to celebrate my birthday.
“The one who really pushed this was my manager [Biboy Arboleda] as a way of thanking all the people who helped me.
“From indie [movies], to all the press, to mainstream movies, and then to soaps. And to all the people I worked with.
“This is really my only chance and, well, the purpose of this is just to say thank you.”
If there was anything he would like to receive for his upcoming birthday, what would it be?
The award-winning actor responded, “No. Honestly, it might be embarrassing to say, but almost everything has been given to me, eh.
“Because, as I said, my wish back then was to have a regular job.”
“And then, now, almost everything has been given to me as a blessing.
“I really work hard for whatever I have now.”

BREAK FOR HIMSELF. What does he wish for himself?
Coco said, “Honestly, of course I want my relationship with my family to be good.
“I also have time for them, and to have time for myself.

He continued, “I have participated in every form of association, every form of racket that can be called.
“So when I was given the chance to be given this blessing, I took advantage of it.”
