Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes beamed with pride as they witnessed their eldest daughter, Zia, perform on stage for the first time.
Celebrity parents Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes beamed with pride as they watched their eldest daughter, Zia, take the stage and sing for the first time.
On December 1, 2024, Zia was among the aspiring talents who showcased their skills at the RMA Studio Academy’s Be Our Guest concert, held at The Podium Hall in Mandaluyong City.
Zia performed Andra Day’s “Rise Up” for her recital
At the grand opening of Avignon Clinic’s Alabang branch on December 2, 2024, the couple spoke to the press, including PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal), about Zia’s performance.
The dad began, “She really loves singing so we are happy that she was given the opportunity to express her talent.
He continued, “Because he has joy whenever he sings, that’s why at his school, because he has something, we enrolled him in a singing school.
“So that’s what their recital was like. So they were given the opportunity to perform.”
MARIAN RIVERA AND DINGDONG DANTES: PROUD PARENTS
Dingdong further expressed his immense pride and joy in seeing Zia’s debut performance on stage.
“It’s his first time performing in front of people, besides us, who actually have a mic, a stage, a band, lights like that. So it’s a first for us.
“That’s why we are such proud parents.”
Sharing her husband’s sentiment, Marian said, “Yes, we are really proud. Super!”
She attended every rehearsal so she witnessed firsthand Zia’s growth and progress as a performer.
“I will never get tired of listening to my son’s voice. Because every time he comes in and has a rehearsal, I’m right there behind him.”
And no matter what path Zia chooses to pursue, she has the full support of her parents.
Marian told the press, “I told Zia, she should always remember that her daddy and I are all-out for her. Whatever she wants to do, we will support her.
EXTRA SPECIAL HOLIDAY CELEBRATION
Meanwhile, Marian and Dingdong are looking forward to the holidays.
According to Dingdong, their celebration will be “the usual,” but it will be extra special this year as they will be marking their 10th wedding anniversary.
The couple tied the knot on December 30, 2014, at Cubao Cathedral in Quezon City, followed by a grand reception at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
Marian previously revealed to PEP that they are planning a simple celebration to mark their decade-long union.
Dingdong confirmed that it will be an intimate gathering with their closest family and friends.
He said, “Ngayon it’s gonna be extra special because we are celebrating our 10th year wedding anniversary.
“We’ll just do a little reminiscing and then celebrate with family and close friends.”
Adding to what Dingdong said, Marian highlighted the importance of celebrating their daily life together, regardless of the milestone.
In her words, “Whether it’s 10 years or 20, what matters is our everyday togetherness. So that’s what we celebrate.”
Marian hopes that other celebrity couples will successfully overcome any challenges they may face.
She said, “I wonder what else, we will also pray for all the couples that the Lord will strengthen them.
“Right, everyone goes through trials? But of course, we pray for all couples to be well and to be in love with each other every single day.”
Dingdong agreed, highlighting that the foundation of a strong and healthy relationship is keeping God at its core.
He said, “Yes, exactly, that’s a different test for each couple. So it’s up to them how they resolve it.
“And most importantly, of course, from our perspective, God is truly at the center of the relationship.”
