‘It’s really my second life!’ Ivana Alawi almost lost her life in the hospital

Kapamilya actress Ivana Alawi was very grateful when she allegedly received a “second life” after being hospitalized.

On his official YouTube channel, Alawi announced on November 8, 2024 his seemingly “life threatening experience” and said it was the most difficult period of his life.

“I’m going to show you one of the hardest journeys in my life…I feel like I even said goodbye to my mom. I really feel it’s really my second life,” Alawi said at the start of his vlog.

Before finally recounting his experience, Alawi admitted that at the very beginning he also had PolyCystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) which he said is where it all started.

“I’ll just share with you that I have a problem with the ovaries and that’s how it started, and I also have PCOS,” said the actress.

Alawi said, he decided to go to the hospital because he could no longer bear the pain and weakness he felt.

“I got fluid in my stomach that made it so full. Day by day while I was in the hospital, the fluid in my stomach rose and rose, I looked like five months pregnant,” said Alawi.

It seems that he also took his own life, which according to him, his pulse rate was completely weakened and his eyes were staring while he was confined in the hospital.

“The doctors panicked because my pulse seemed to be weakening, they kept saying, ‘Don’t close your eyes.’ So, I was confined but I was not getting better. It’s like it’s hard and it’s hard for me to breathe.”

Due to having excess fluid in his body which caused him to be unable to breathe, urinate and defecate, he had various doctors and decided to remove the almost two liters of water that had been absorbed from his body.

“I felt like the liquid was already getting into my lungs. It’s like I said, ‘Put a hole in me, anywhere, just to get rid of the pain, So that’s it, they inserted the tube and then they started to drain. Then they say there are two liters pushing my lungs that’s why I had a hard time” said Alawi.

Alawi clarified that after the fluid was removed from his body, he felt better and is currently recovering. He also thanked everyone who extended prayers and help to him.

Meanwhile, before finishing her video, the actress also mentioned that she intends to donate the proceeds of the latest episode, to a hospital, to help patients who do not have enough capacity to pay medical bills.
