Du warst viel zu jung und hattest noch so viel vor dir”, schrieb der Klub auf Instagram. “Dein Lachen, deine Energie und die Erinnerungen, die wir mit dir teilen durften, werden für immer bleiben. Du warst nicht nur eine Mitspielerin, sondern auch ein sehr wichtiger Bestandteil unseres Vereins.”Wie die Landespolizeidirektion Oberösterreich mitteilte, ereignete sich der Unfall gegen 9.40 Uhr im Linzer Mona-Lisa-Tunnel. Die junge Mittelfeldspielerin war demnach gemeinsam mit einer 15-jährigen Beifahrerin unterwegs, als sie mit ihrem Wagen aus noch ungeklärter Ursache auf die Gegenfahrbahn geriet und frontal mit einem Lkw kollidierte.

Wimmer sei eingeklemmt und so schwer verletzt worden, dass sie trotz sofortiger Reanimationsmaßnahmen der herbeigeeilten Rettungskräfte noch vor Ort verstarb. Ihre Begleiterin wurde demzufolge ins Krankenhaus gebracht, zur Schwere ihrer Verletzungen lagen zunächst keine Informationen vor. Der 56-jährige Lkw-Fahrer blieb unverletzt.Die gebürtige Tennegauerin kickte in ihrer österreichischen Heimat für den SC Golling, den FC Bergheim, St. Koloman und Bad Vigaun. Aktuell hoffte sie in der Akademie der Linzer auf ihren Durchbruch.Auch ihr Ex-Klub Gollingen reagierte mit einer Beileidsbekundung im Netz: “Fassungslos und mit tiefer Trauer haben wir vom tragischen Tod von Alex Wimmer erfahren, die viel zu früh aus dem Leben gerissen wurde”, erklärte der Verein.”Als leidenschaftliche Sportlerin und wertvoller Mensch wird Alex uns stets in Erinnerung bleiben”, fügte der SCG an.Titelfoto: Screenshot/Instagram/FC BlauWeiß Linz
