“Romance or Collaboration? Fans Speculate on Langley and Wetmore’s Getaway”

Even as many of us slowed down over the Christmas holidays, the country music rumor mill hasn’t taken a break. The latest swirl? Fans are now convinced that Ella Langley and Tucker Wetmore might be dating.

The speculation kicked off after both artists posted Instagram Stories from the sun-soaked shores of St. Barthélemy in the British Virgin Islands last week. Things heated up when they were spotted hugging at the iconic Soggy Dollar Bar, and Wetmore later shared a playful clip of himself shaving in the turquoise waters—then liked a comment teasing that he was “making that handsome face nice [and] smooth for beautiful EL.”

If the two are romantically involved, it would be just the latest twist in a rollercoaster year of country music dating gossip. Earlier in 2025, rumors swirled that Langley and her “you look like you love me” collaborator Riley Green were seeing each other, only for Green to be photographed with Megan Moroney soon after. That sparked speculation of a love triangle, and later Green attended the 2025 CMA Awards with influencer Bryana Ferringer, who happens to be Wetmore’s ex and starred in his music video for “Wind Up Missin’ You” in March 2024. Following the CMA appearance, Wetmore released the track “Proving Me Right,” seemingly referencing an ex who left him for another artist.

Now, with Langley and Wetmore sharing a sun-drenched vacation, fans are wondering: is this a romance, a collaboration, or just friends enjoying paradise? The Soggy Dollar Bar seems to have become country music’s unofficial Love Island—St. Barthélemy is where speculation starts and sparks fly.

Adding another layer of intrigue, fellow country singer-songwriter Gary Allan was also spotted at the bar. Allan has toured with Langley before, suggesting the trio could simply be on a writers’ retreat rather than starring in a new romance saga.

Whatever the truth, fans can dream: Langley’s classic country sensibilities paired with Wetmore’s knack for hooks could mean a musical collaboration that sets the charts ablaze.

For now, the vacation snaps, Instagram likes, and playful interactions are fueling endless speculation. Whether romance, friendship, or studio magic, these moments underscore a year in country music defined by love, gossip, and headlines. But ultimately, the focus remains on the music—and these artists continue to captivate fans far beyond genre boundaries, earning mainstream attention and the devotion of core country listeners alike.

Doolittle drove her across the country, stopping at every radio station to hand-deliver her first single. That song, “I’m a Honky Tonk Girl,” reached #14 on the country charts in 1960. Over the next five decades, Loretta Lynn sold over 45 million records, earned 18 #1 hits, and was named the greatest female country artist of all time by CMT. Doolittle died in 1996. Loretta died on October 4, 2022, at age 90. She once said: “Doo wasn’t perfect — but he believed in me when I didn’t even know there was something to believe in.” The letter Doolittle wrote to Loretta before he died — the one she kept under her pillow for 26 years — was buried with her. No one has ever read it.
