Missing bride-to-be Sherra de Juan has safely returned to her home in Fairview, Quezon City after being found in the town of Sison, Pangasinan, on Monday, December 29, 2025.

It was past 1 a.m. this Tuesday, December 30, when Sherra returned home. She was warmly welcomed by her family.

The young woman was picked up by personnel from the Quezon City Police District (QCPD), along with her brother and her fiancé, Mark Arjay Reyes.

According to the QCPD, a concerned citizen provided information to Sherra’s family regarding her whereabouts a few weeks after she was reported missing.

To ensure that Sherra was indeed found, her family decided to make a video call with the concerned citizen.

Once the identity was confirmed, authorities immediately went to the location of the missing girl.

At this time, the police have not yet determined what really happened to Sherra because they have not been able to fully talk to her, in accordance with the young woman’s request to rest for a while.

POLICE SEE NO CRIME IN BRIDE-TO-BE CASE

Meanwhile, in an interview with GMA News, QCPD spokesperson Police Major Jennifer Gannaban said there was no indication of crime in the disappearance of the bride-to-be.

According to Gannaban, during their initial assessment, they found no signs of physical harm or forced detention involving Sherra.

“Right now, because we haven’t received any other evidence that a crime actually occurred, we can’t say yet.”

“But once we confirm whether or not his going there [to Pangasinan] was forced, that’s when we will conclude or issue an update.”

Sherra is also said to be physically fit after undergoing a medical examination upon her return.

Although she was weak, this was attributed to the bride-to-be’s limited diet for several days after her disappearance was reported.

Gannaban said, “That’s it, he only had water intake for a while, so it seems like he developed acid peptic disease.”

Gannaban also clarified the earlier reference to Sherra’s fiancé Mark Arjay as a person of interest.

He stated: “We also mentioned that he was a person of interest because he was the one who provided us with important information that helped in our investigation.”

“Right now, there is no evidence that shows that he is the one who did it, so we cannot consider him a suspect.”

How DID Sherra end up in Pangasinan?

“He said he changed his mind about going to FCM [Fairview Center Mall] [to buy shoes] so he took the UV Express to go to Ever [Commonwealth] Mall, until he realized he was already in Pangasinan.

“So, we’re looking into what really happened. Hopefully, we’ll be able to talk to him in the next coming days so he can tell us the full details.”

Gannaban added: “He mentioned that he was with someone when he got into the van, two men and the driver.

“But apart from that, he didn’t mention any more details. We’ll come back to that if he ever wants to talk.”

Sherra de Juan’s disappearance

Sherra is set to marry her fiancé Mark Arjay Reyes on December 14.

But on the afternoon of December 10, she was reported missing after saying goodbye and only going to buy shoes to use at the wedding.

Her boyfriend immediately informed the authorities about his bride-to-be’s failure to return home several hours after she said goodbye.

Sherra reportedly did not have any belongings with her—even her cellphone was left behind—which further caused fear in her family.

During the police investigation, information emerged that Sherra was allegedly going through financial and emotional distress.

This is allegedly based on a digital forensic examination conducted on the cellphone left behind by the young woman.

According to authorities, Sherra’s chat history revealed that she was struggling to pay for her father’s medical expenses and wedding expenses.

Something that her family, particularly her father and fiancé, strongly denied.

Few realize that before becoming the legendary “Gentleman Jim,” Jim Reeves was just a desperate former baseball player, nursing an injured arm and shattered dreams. It was Jewell House—the quiet power behind the Louisiana Hayride—who saw gold in him when the world only saw a struggling radio announcer. She didn’t just quietly book shows to help him scrape by; she used her journalist’s pen to craft his star image from nothing. She was more than a friend; she was the spiritual anchor who resurrected a legend from the ashes of a baseball career.
