Patrick Mahomes Appears Unbothered Celebrating With Brittany Amid Chiefs Offseason Chaos

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes appears to be enjoying some downtime during the NFL offseason while recovering from a significant knee injury.

Mahomes and his wife, Brittany Mahomes, recently attended a friend’s wedding in their home state of Texas. Photos shared by Brittany on Instagram showed the couple celebrating with friends, including the bride, Kate Van Wyk.

Brittany wore a pale pink dress with a high slit, while Patrick Mahomes appeared in a pale blue button-down shirt, dark blue pants, and white sneakers.

In one photo from the gallery, Mahomes wore a brown cowboy hat while downing a Coors Light.

Notably, no knee brace appeared visible in the images. The absence of visible support gear has led to speculation that Mahomes may be progressing well in his recovery after suffering a torn ACL late in the 2025 NFL season.

Patrick Mahomes Injury Recovery Reportedly Ahead of Schedule

Mahomes tore the ACL in his left knee during a Week 15 game against the Los Angeles Chargers. The injury required surgery and immediately ended his season.

Fox Sports insider Jay Glazer recently discussed Mahomes’ recovery while appearing on “The Dan Patrick Show.” According to Glazer, the Chiefs quarterback may be progressing faster than initially expected.

“His pain threshold is different, his work ethic is different,” Glazer said on the podcast. “So at first they were like, ‘Oh, you know, start of the season.’ I would probably hedge on him being [back] sooner than that. By far. Because he just attacks things.”

Glazer explained that Mahomes’ decision to undergo surgery quickly may be playing a role in his recovery timeline.

“The initial reports were kind of on the fringe there, but I want to tell you, Patrick’s different,” Glazer said. “He got the surgery before it swelled up. So that was on a Tuesday. I believe it was either Thursday or Friday that week he was already in the Chiefs’ training room doing rehab.”

Glazer added that Mahomes quickly began regaining mobility.Có thể là hình ảnh về bóng đá và văn bản cho biết 'heavy on chiefs. Patrick Mahomes Appears Unbothered Celebrating With Brittany Amid Chiefs Offseason Chaos Heavy on Chiefs'

“He had already got his knee bending at 90 degrees at that point. He’s just different. He heals differently.”

Chiefs Offseason Includes Roster Changes and Financial Moves

While Mahomes continues his recovery, the Kansas City Chiefs have been making several significant roster and financial decisions.

The team has restructured Mahomes’ contract while also releasing offensive tackle Jawaan Taylor and defensive end Mike Danna in an effort to create additional salary cap flexibility for the 2026 season.

The Chiefs also traded All-Pro cornerback Trent McDuffie to the Los Angeles Rams, further reshaping the roster during the offseason.

The move has fueled speculation that Kansas City could pursue running back Kenneth Walker III if the opportunity becomes available.

Walker recently completed a strong season with the Seattle Seahawks.

He finished with 221 carries for 1,027 rushing yards and five touchdowns while starting all 17 games.

Walker III also averaged 4.6 yards per carry and earned Super Bowl LX MVP honors after helping lead Seattle to a championship.

Patrick Mahomes Favorite Target, Travis Kelce, Retirement Rumors Continue Circulating

Another major storyline surrounding the Chiefs involves the future of tight end Travis Kelce.

Kelce completed his 13th NFL season with Kansas City, and retirement rumors have circulated since the Chiefs finished with a disappointing 6-11 record.

Former NFL linebacker and podcaster Will Compton recently weighed in on Kelce’s future in a post on X.

“I bet Travis Kelce runs it back with the Chiefs for one more year,” Compton wrote. “Everything waiting for him will still be there.”

Compton suggested Kelce may want another opportunity to finish his career differently.

“He isn’t ending his career 6-11, 3rd in the division, the laughing stock of the NFL, and seeing the dynasty he helped build continue to burn,” Compton wrote. “He can’t go out like that.”
