Nora Aunor, the ‘superstar’ of the Philippine film industry, has passed away at the age of 71. In an official statement on Facebook, her son, Actor Ian De Leon, announced her passing.
Nora Aunor appeared in Jo Berry’s “Lilet Matias: Attorney-at-Law,” a sitcom on GMA Afternoon Prime. The two previously worked together in the 2018 Kapuso series “Onanay.”

“She was the heart of our family—a source of unconditional love, strength, and warmth. Her kindness, wisdom, and beautiful spirit touched all who knew her. She will be missed beyond words and remembered forever,” he wrote.
In another post, he went into more detail about how much he loved his mother.
“We love you, Ma.. God knows how much we love you.. rest in peace, Ma.. you are always here in our hearts and minds,” he said.
Matet De Leon, Aunor’s son, also posted the news of her passing on Instagram. He shared some photos of them from his wedding.
“I love you mommy,” he captioned the post.
