Lotlot de Leon has a strong response to hurtful comments about adopted children: “It’s time”

Lotlot de Leon has a classy clapback to a hurtful comment about adopted children

Lotlot de Leon couldn’t help herself.

On Instagram Wednesday, the actor posted screenshots of a hurtful comment about adopted children she presumably received, screenshots of the alleged commenter, and accompanied it with a classy clapback.

The comment read: “The fact that she adopted all of you and did not let you die in the dumpster…respect and give love in return…calling those ‘good kids’…where are you?”

A portion of Lotlot’s caption read: “You know ma’am, I don’t usually comment nor waste my time explaining myself to people who have nothing good to say. Now if you ask me what makes you different from the rest is because I feel with your hurtful and slanderous comment not only to me but to “ALL KIDS” that are or have been adopted is very unkind and inhumane.”

She continued: “We did not choose the lives that we have, but what we chose is to be always grateful for the family who took us in. The only way we can really give back is to show our adoptive parents that they have done a great job in showing us how to love one another.”

Lotlot ended her respectful explanation by clarifying how much they love each other, and how dearly they love their mother. “That is one that should never be questioned,” Lotlot said before ending with a classy mic drop: “Respect begets respect.”

Previously, Lotlot posted a photo gallery of her and her siblings including Matet de Leon and Ian de Leon at a family gathering. Their adoptive mother Nora Aunor was absent, which caused an onslaught lot of negative demands and questions from commenters.

It forced Matet to issue a clarification. “The get together was for Auntie Tita, mommy’s sister who passed away a few days ago. Busy si Mommy ng araw na yan kaya hindi siya nakarating. Hindi kami ingrata. Alam na alam namin kung saan kami galing. At wala kami dito kundi dahil kay mommy,” read a portion of her comment.

It also caused Lotlot to post another text image that read “The most important lesson I’ve learned over this past year is, don’t let anybody make you cruel. No matter how badly you want to give the world a taste of its own bitter medicine, it is never worth losing yourself.”

It was on this second post that the hurtful comment was left, which again prompted Matet to respond. “Hindi porke’t Noranian ka, may karapatan ka na mambastos,” a portion of her comment read.

It looks like you’re a decent woman, by the looks of it you have your family beside you smiling with you with all the pictures you have in your IG. Maybe the only difference we have you and I, is that they’re your “blood”.

You know ma’am I don’t usually comment nor waste my time explaining myself to people who have nothing good to say. Now if you ask me what makes you different from the rest is because I feel with your hurtful and slanderous comment not only to me but to “ALL KIDS” that are or have been Adopted is very unkind and inhumane.

We did not choose the lives that we have, but what we chose is to be always grateful for the family who took us in. The only way we can really give back is to show our adoptive parents that they have done a great job in showing us how to love one another.

I know that we live in a free world where we have the chance to speak and say our piece even when sometimes it’s uncalled for. I hope we use this as a tool to lift each other up rather than to JUDGE and disrespect one another.

You know nothing about me and my siblings. People like you are a wolf in a sheeps clothing. As for us, my siblings and I regardless adopted love and respect one another and will have each other to protect and care for one another. Always have, always will. And like you, we will continue to smile in our pictures because we know, what we have no one can break apart.

Now as for my mom. We love her dearly. That is one that should never be questioned, but as you know we are the kind of family that do not wash our dirty clothes in public. Respect begets respect.
