Lainey Wilson is turning up the excitement for her upcoming album Whirlwind with not one, but two brand-new music videos — “Hang Tight Honey” and “4x4xU.”
Both visuals, directed by Dano Cerny, tell a connected story. The first, “Hang Tight Honey”, takes fans on a groovy trip back to the swinging ’60s. With big hair, bold colors, and retro dance moves, Lainey and her band fully embrace the era in a TV-style performance. But there’s more than just music — sparks fly when Lainey locks eyes with a cameraman backstage, sparking a love story that unfolds behind the scenes. The video closes with her tour bus pulling away, leaving viewers with the words: “To be continued…”

That continuation comes in the next video, “4x4xU.” This time, the story shifts to the countryside. Instead of the stage lights, we see Lainey enjoying a quiet break in a vintage green-and-cream Ford pickup. Singing straight from the heart, she opens up about finding someone who makes her feel at home no matter where life takes her. Their simple moments together — handholding, laughter, long drives — capture the peace and joy of falling in love. The closing shot of a Louisiana license plate leaves fans buzzing with theories about what’s coming next.
“4x4xU” was co-written by Lainey alongside Jon Decious and Aaron Raitiere, and produced by GRAMMY®-winner Jay Joyce. Meanwhile, “Hang Tight Honey” is already climbing the Country radio charts, currently sitting in the Top 20.

Sharing her excitement, Lainey said:
“This song is about finding that someone who gives you the comfort and peace of home anywhere in the world, as long as you’re by their side. Huge thanks to Dano Cerny for bringing this vision to life, and to everyone who helped make this record. I think it could be my biggest song yet.”
Fans won’t have to wait too long to hear more. Whirlwind drops on August 23, and Lainey will be bringing the magic to stages across North America on her Country’s Cool Again Tour.
