Kris Aquino Opens Up About 11 Illnesses and Life in a Wheelchair
KRIS AQUINO – Queen of All Media Kris Aquino has once again opened up about her ongoing health struggles, revealing that she has been diagnosed with two more illnesses and is now dependent on a wheelchair.
Kris Aquino continues her battle with multiple autoimmune diseases as she recently revealed that she has been diagnosed with two more illnesses. In a candid update on Instagram, Kris opened up about the severe toll her condition has taken on her physical health, even sharing that she is now wheelchair-dependent and has had to relearn how to walk.
The update began with Kris sharing that her youngest child is on the road to recovery: “Bimb is finally healthy after a bad case of stomach flu.” However, the actress and television host admitted that she herself is severely ill because of her rheumatoid arthritis. “My rheumatoid arthritis was really hurt by the storm (it’s hard to explain the other autoimmune disease I have as well as the 2 recently diagnosed diseases because of my multiple autoimmune disease),” she shared.

Despite her condition, Kris remains engaged with her followers. She even held a Q&A session with her son Bimby, asking fans to interact respectfully. “Let’s have fun. Bimb will soon take over my IG (with me checking before he posts). Get to know us because we are so different now. At 11PM, we will answer questions that are intriguing and worth answering. No profanity, please?”
Kris also mentioned that Bimby will be handling his social media presence moving forward. “I think you’ll love watching the 6’2 male version of me because he’s more down to earth, athletic, and super charming than everyone else.”
Kris is currently staying in a peaceful location by the sea. “This place is so peaceful and living where I can get fresh sea air and listen to the waves is always my dream. Too bad I’m in a wheelchair now… I still have to learn to walk again,” she revealed.
He admitted that he is no longer the same person because of his long battle with the disease. “That’s the problem — I’m not who I used to be and I want to give you all the KRIS you deserve.”
Kris revealed that she now has “9 major autoimmune diseases, #10 is a result of 9, and I have an 11th disease that happened because of my lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, Sjögren’s, and some of my other autoimmune diseases.”
However, his love for his children keeps him going. “I love my children and they are not ready to lose me – especially Bimb who just turned 18.”
