Ellen Adarna explains why she never married ex-boyfriend John Lloyd Cruz: “How could I be guilty, I never proposed.”

Ellen Adarna and Derek Ramsay issued separate statements in response to controversial social media personality Christian Albert “Xian” Gaza’s blind item about the alleged reason for the breakdown of their relationship.
On Sunday, September 28, 2025, Gaza posted a blind item on Facebook about the alleged divorce of a celebrity couple.
Gaza described the man the woman married as a “billionaire.”
They allegedly had a child, but after the separation, the woman no longer wanted to show her husband their offspring.
The post (published as is) reads: “BLIND ITEM: Is Sinetch, a billionaire celebrity who is divorced from her husband, the heir to a large company in the Visayas and Mindanao?

This was followed by another post in which Gaza said that it seemed like the woman had carefully planned to marry and have a child with the “billionaire” in order to seize all of the man’s wealth.
Gaza’s post (published as is): “So what’s up? They’re married. There’s no divorce in the Philippines. Celebrity guy is a peso billionaire. Did super famous celebrity girl sign a prenup? Or waley?
“So meaning to say, is he after the guy’s billions? Then their son, is he also after his father’s wealth? Under the girl’s guardianship? Is this the masterplan from the start? Did the girl trick him?
“OMG this is crazy, I’ll keep thinking about this now, how will I be able to sleep later, mygaaahd.”
Although no names were mentioned, the clue Gaza left in the comments section of her post prompted netizens to believe that the controversial social media personality was referring to the couple Ellen and Derek.

According to netizens, the “JL” Gaza is referring to is Ellen’s ex-boyfriend, John Lloyd Cruz.
John Lloyd is also the father of Ellen’s eldest son, Elias.
It also matches John Lloyd when Gaza mentions “biogesic” because this is the drug that the actor used to endorse.
ELLEN ADARNA RESPONDS TO XIAN GAZA’S CLAIM
Through a series of Instagram Stories, Ellen responded to Gaza’s allegations.
Here, Ellen mentioned the reason why her relationship with John Lloyd did not lead to marriage.
This is contrary to Gaza’s claim that the actor has no property that Ellen can take.
Ellen said on her IG Story: “A lot of people tagged me. I need Biogesic.
“How can I marry you, you haven’t proposed?”

The actress also briefly denied Gaza’s post about her husband Derek being a billionaire.
Ellen further argued that John Lloyd’s abilities and wealth should not be underestimated.
He said: “And billions? Oh my God, billions. The only billions… the shadow of the billions I saw was only in flood control.
“Billionaires? Sy family, Gokongwei, Zobel, Aboitiz, Lucio Tan, Villar. Zaldy Co, Discaya. Romualdez.
“And don’t criticize Biogesic, because he’s just simple. You don’t know, but the assets before, I know! You know?”
He added: “And if you’re going to get married, at least get everything right, like everything.
“It’s hard to say that it’s an unreliable source, and I’m a liar.”
DEREK RAMSAY DENIES SPLIT WITH ELLEN ADARNA
Like Ellen, Derek also stressed his denial of Gaza’s allegations on Instagram Stories.

Like John Lloyd, Ellen and Derek also have a child.
BREAKUP RUMORS AGAINST DEREK
For several weeks, rumors have been circulating about the alleged end of Ellen and Derek’s nearly four-year marriage.
This started when netizens noticed that Ellen was no longer commenting or reacting to Derek’s posts on social media, something she often did before.
Derek’s trip to Bali, Indonesia, to undergo Kami No Ken, a self-improvement program, was also highlighted.
Derek previously denied the speculation and insisted that the rumors were untrue and that he and Ellen remain strong as a couple.
The former actor also pleaded with them not to intrigue him anymore because they are no longer active in showbiz, and he and Ellen are private individuals.

On August 31, the issue of the two’s alleged separation resurfaced when Ellen posted meaningful IG Stories about her postpartum depression.
During the postpartum period, a woman experiences changes in her physical and emotional state that can cause mood swings.
Ellen’s previous posts indicate that her partner doesn’t seem to understand what she’s going through after giving birth.
By September, rumors swirled that Ellen had unfollowed Derek on Instagram.
Ellen strongly denied this on September 5.
He said: “Stop us. There’s a lot of fake news going around.
“I never unfollowed my husband. Ever. And i dont know whats happening here on my ig. But here you go…when i search his name – im following him.
