Talk about a match made in country heaven!
On Monday night, Ernest threw a massive (and free!) celebration outside Loser’s Bar & Grill in Nashville’s Midtown to mark the launch of his new record label, DeVille Records. The night turned into a mini country festival, with performances from friends like Jake Worthington, Jamey Johnson, Morgan Wallen, and Ella Langley—and it was every bit as magical as it sounds.
While Morgan Wallen’s surprise acoustic rendition of “Flower Shops” drew huge cheers, another moment stole the spotlight: Ella Langley joining Ernest on stage to perform “Would If I Could.”
Originally a duet between Ernest and Lainey Wilson, the song was written back in 1996 by legendary songwriters Dean Dillon and Skip Ewing. It’s a pure country heartbreaker—honest, raw, and beautifully simple. Ernest has said this song represents everything he loves about country music: the storytelling, the emotion, and the truth.
“I was born and raised in Nashville. I love this city—it’s the country music capital of the world. This album is a positive affirmation that country, at its core, is popular again,” Ernest shared.

But with Lainey Wilson tied up on tour, Ella Langley stepped in for the live duet—and absolutely crushed it. Her smooth, soulful voice paired perfectly with Ernest’s warm tone, turning the performance into something special. The stripped-down acoustic setup made it even more intimate, allowing their harmonies to shine and the lyrics to hit deeper.
Fans were quick to praise the chemistry between the two, calling it “flawless,” “effortless,” and “pure country magic.”
There’s no denying it—Ernest and Ella Langley have something truly special together. Here’s hoping this isn’t the last time we see them share a mic.
