Claudine Barretto: “Mito, I’m so so sorry again.”

Claudine Barretto says she and older brother Mito Barretto patched things up a few months before his death: “Early this June, my brother & I had a fight. He said painful words that hurt me & I retaliated with hurting words & a demand letter. U can judge me later.”

Claudine Barretto confessed that she and her eldest sister, Mito Barretto, had a big fight a few months before the latter’s passing.

The Barretto family announced Mito’s passing from unspecified causes yesterday, September 23, 2025.

The fight between Claudine and Mito reportedly happened in June 2025, or three months before the actress’s older brother passed away.

According to Claudine, she was hurt by the hurtful words her sister said to her, so she responded back.

It got to the point where the actress’s lawyer even sent a demand letter to Mito.

Claudine said in her Instagram post (published as is): “Early this June, my brother & I had a fight.

“He said painful words that hurt me & I retaliated with hurting words & a demand letter.

“U can judge me later.”

Their fight almost reached the courthouse, but fortunately, her nephew Mark Barretto intervened.

Ani Claudine: “A day before filing, my nephew Mark intervened.

“For an Alpha male with such strong personality he got on the line & said, ‘Dine, I’m so so very sorry. The Devil is trying to destroy us.’

“All my life, if there was that one person who’s approval I so wanted was his.

“We both cried while Mark, Mito & I where praying for healing.”

CLAUDINE SAYS SORRY TO MITO AGAIN

The relationship between the two brothers didn’t stop there.

They reportedly continued to exchange messages via text messaging.

Saad ni Claudine: “That wasn’t the last. For the next 3 weeks, he would text me, ‘Dine, I’m so sorry again and I’m proud of u, life is so short,’ he wrote making sure I would forget & forgive him even if in all fiber of my being I already did.

“We talked again 2x then yesterday happened. I’m just saying while our loved ones are here, Pls. APOLOGIZE, FORGIVE GENUINELY.”

According to Claudine, even though others may not view their family as normal, they still tell each other how they feel.

He also apologized to his brother again.

“It was a privilege to have had u as my kuya. Forgive me again & I luv u so much”
