The Kansas City Chiefs are reportedly at risk of losing a key member of Andy Reid‘s coaching staff this offseason.
Offensive coordinator Matt Nagy, who has spent seven years with the Chiefs across two spells, is rumored to be interviewing for the vacant head coach’s position with the Tennessee Titans.
The Titans are on the hunt for a new leader after firing Brian Callahan earlier this season after a dismal run of defeats, despite selecting Cam Ward with the No. 1 overall pick.
And, according to NFL insiders Tom Pelissero and Ian Rapoport, Nagy is expected to meet with Titans executives next week when the interview process gets underway.
Nagy will reportedly face competition from ex-Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy, as well as the likes of Packers defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley, Chargers defensive coordinator Jesse Minter and former Jets head coach Robert Saleh.
The 47-year-old Nagy has been a long-term assistant to Reid, winning two Super Bowls as the brains behind Patrick Mahomes‘ offense.
