On November 4, 2001, the Philippines was rocked by shocking news. The famous actress Nida Blanca was found dead near her workplace. because Martinez did not show up Medel said that he and Rod had dinner at the Kamayan restaurant and talked about the plan while waiting for Martinez who did not show up According to Medel around 10:00 pm he and Rod left for Atlanta Center they parked their car next to a dark green Nissan on the sixth floor of the parking lot Medel said that Rod told him that he had to leave and that Medel should continue to guard the car around 1:00 a.m.

November Medel said he woke up to bright lights from the car where he saw Rod and a woman wearing a striped blouse and another woman getting out of the car. Midel said the three seemed to be arguing. Medel said it was possible they were talking about a paper Rod wanted the woman wearing the striped blouse to sign. He said Rod suddenly pushed the woman and started stabbing her.

Another woman also allegedly joined the assault when she witnessed it. Medel approached and joined in the attack on the woman to make sure the woman was dead. Medel said they left the area an hour after the incident. He went home and hid the knife used under his sink. Midel said he learned that the woman he helped kill was Nida Blanca after watching the news at that point.

He said he felt a deep sense of remorse and decided to surrender. The public pieced together the events after hearing Medel’s shocking confession, realizing that the Rod Medel was referring to could be none other than but Roger Lawrence Strong was Blanca’s second husband they also thought that the other woman was Probably Candelaria Tantoco who was Blanca’s Personal Assistant nevertheless Strunk and Candelaria strongly denied the accusations as well as the L detector test conducted proved their sincerity despite this Medel retracted his

He was arrested by American authorities but was released. The United States court denied the Philippine government’s request to extradite him. Even the second request for extradition was denied by the American court, so Strun remained free. The case was finally dropped on July 11, 2007, after Strun committed suicide. The 68-year-old man jumped from the second floor of the Tracy Inn in California.

Meanwhile, Medel remained in the custody of the NBI while being investigated. He was detained at the Pasig City Jail but also passed away at the age of 62 on April 9, 2010. Medel died of pneumonia according to Dr. Alan Custodio who examined and responded to him after complaining of chest pains. The first story has to do with money. Some think that Blanca is involved in a political issue. According to the story that spread, a politician may have given Blanca money but she refused to accept it or did not return it.

This is possibly because the politician got angry and decided to do what happened to her. This was again denied by Blanca’s personal secretary, Elena Lapas.
