💥 After Love, Comes a Firm Decision

Ai-Ai delas Alas boldly admitted that she does not regret her decision to withdraw the green card petition for ex-husband Gerald Sibayan , after their divorce in late 2024.

In her interview on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda , the Comedy Queen bluntly said:

🗨️ “Of course, at first you were naughty, you had some thoughts, but in the end, I’m not ashamed. I did it because I had to live for myself.”

The former couple married in December 2017 in a grand ceremony attended by many celebrities and politicians.

 Green Card Issue in the Middle of Divorce

According to reports, Ai-Ai, who has been a US green card holder since 2015 , filed a petition for Gerald to become her husband. But after several years of marriage that resulted in emotional estrangement and conflict , she decided to withdraw the petition .

Although this was legal under United States immigration law, many wondered whether it was a personal grudge or the right move for his well-being .

In the same interview, Ai-Ai clarified:

🗨️ “I have no intention of hurting him, but if the relationship is no longer healthy for me—why would I continue our connection?”

💬 Public Reaction: Opinion Divided

Many netizens showed support for Ai-Ai, acknowledging her courage in speaking the truth and standing firm in her decision. However, some also questioned the timing and motive , especially since it seems likely that Gerald is at risk of losing his legal status in the United States.

There are reports that Gerald’s health has declined after feeling the effects of stress from the separation and the withdrawal of his green card petition.

📌 “Gerald was hospitalized, according to a close friend, due to fatigue and anxiety,” according to a source from Latest Chika .

🧘 A Woman Fighting for Peace

For Ai-Ai, all of this is part of her emotional growth and self-preservation . She now wants peace and devotes her time to faith, health, and helping her son.
