Patrick Mahomes, Wife Brittany Get Concerning News Amid Chiefs’ Offseason

Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and wife, Brittany Mahomes, need to see a change in the KC Current.
Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and his wife, Brittany Mahomes, had a lot to celebrate this weekend.

The couple traveled to East Texas for Brittany’s induction into the UT Tyler Athletics Hall of Fame. Brittany, one of the school’s most prolific soccer players, sent a heartfelt message on Instagram after the event.

“Truly honored to be inducted into the UT Tyler Athletics Hall of Fame!” she wrote. “This City and this School is a huge part of who I am today, I will forever cherish this honor and am forever grateful for what this program did for me as an athlete and as a person! Coach Webb, you brought out the best in me, this doesn’t happen without you!”Có thể là hình ảnh về bóng đá và văn bản cho biết '100 h. Mahomes commented, “Congrats!!!! Love you!” Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce added, “HOF BRITT!!!! LFG!”

While Mahomes and the Sports Illustrated digital cover model had a blast reminiscing over her tenure with the Patriots, Brittany stands second all-time in total points (78) and goals (31), third in game-winning goals (10) and assists (16), and tied for third in total games played (74) — they Kansas City Current co-owners go disappointing news regarding their NWSL team.

The KC Current Lost Their 3rd Straight Game After Losing a Total of 3 Games Last Season

After a thrilling comeback win over the Utah Royals in the season-opener, the KC Current have lost three straight games. Considering the Current lost a total of three games last season — it’s a concerning shift.

Last season, the 2025 NWSL Shield winners scored the most points (65), most wins (21), most shutouts (16), multi-goal wins (15), and more. While reigning two-time NWSL MVP Temwa Chawinga (hip) is still out, the team’s struggles come as a surprise after their dominance last year.

Before the club’s most recent 0-2 loss to the Portland Thorns, the Current captioned a post on Instagram, “I BELIEVE IN US” 🗣️,” which Brittany liked. However, the team took just six shots in a mistake-filled match against Portland, a team they had beaten five consecutive times before this weekend. This shutout came after the Current lost 0-3 to Seattle Reign FC.

Up next, a matchup against Gotham FC, the former No. 8-seeded team that stunned the No. 1 Current in the quarterfinals of the playoffs last season.

KC Current Fans Called Out the Team’s Owners on Social Media

After the third straight loss, fans sounded off on social media. One person commented on the Current’s final score post, “Ownership- are you crushing it yet?? Insane to move one of the best club coaches in the world to your front office… for this?”

One fan wrote, “Where is the team that won the shield? You can’t blame this on injuries! Fire Armas!!” One man complained, “Should have kept Claire!”

Another fan wrote, “Losing is going to happen. I figured this season was going to have a rough start but I am honestly shocked at how disorganized a lot of this is looking so far. Even with the roster changes. I support this team and know we can bring it back but my goodness this is less than ideal.”

After the Current’s early exit from the playoffs, the team made several big moves. They hired a new head coach, Chris Armas, so former head coach, Vlatko Andonovski, could focus on being the club’s sporting director. KC made a blockbuster move to send Claire Hutton to Bay FC for $1.1 million and replaced her by acquiring midfielder Croix Bethune from the Washington Spirit. The Spirit received a club-record $100,000 in allocation funds and $900,000 in transfer threshold funds.

Days before the 2026 home opener, the Current made a last-minute $350,000 move, trading for forward Penelope Hocking.

TAMMY WYNETTE SAID HE WAS THE ONLY SINGER WHO COULD HOLD A CANDLE TO GEORGE JONES — AND THIS ONE SONG PROVED IT. Vern Gosdin didn’t just sing this song. He bled through every single word of it. His co-writer Max D. Barnes had buried his 18-year-old son in a car accident — then carried that unspeakable grief in silence for over a decade before it finally became lyrics. This isn’t some barroom ballad. It’s an old widower’s quiet, devastating warning to a young fool who doesn’t yet know what real loneliness feels like — the kind that only comes when the person you love is beneath the ground. With that impossibly pure baritone — the voice Tammy Wynette herself bowed to — Gosdin delivered those words with such unbearable tenderness that grown men wept alone in their trucks. He didn’t dramatize the pain. He simply named it. And naming it was enough to break you. Some say what happened next in Gosdin’s career made this performance even more heartbreaking than anyone realized at the time…

HE JOINED THE GRAND OLE OPRY AT 24 — BEFORE HE EVER HAD A RECORD DEAL. 65 YEARS LATER, THEY TOLD HIM HE WAS “TOO OLD AND TOO COUNTRY.” Stonewall Jackson lost his father at two. Grew up under an abusive stepfather on a dirt farm in south Georgia. Lied about his age to join the Army at sixteen. When he finally walked into Nashville with nothing but a demo tape and a prayer, the Opry said yes within twenty-four hours — making him the only artist in history to become a member before releasing a single song. One hit conquered both the country and pop charts, and for over a decade, he was untouchable. Then the industry quietly erased him. His last public performance? Singing goodbye at George Jones’s funeral. Sixty-five years of loyalty — and in the end, the stage he built his life on told him he was no longer welcome.

“WE’LL NEVER FORGET YOU, LEGEND.” — GEORGE STRAIT AND ALAN JACKSON STOOD SIDE BY SIDE TO SAY GOODBYE TO CHUCK NORRIS, AND THE ENTIRE ROOM BROKE DOWN. The room was heavy with grief. Family, friends, fans — all waiting in silence. Then George Strait and Alan Jackson walked to the stage together. No big introduction. No spectacle. Just two country legends honoring a man who meant everything. From the first note, Strait’s smooth voice blended with Jackson’s raw delivery, and something shifted in the room. People leaned into each other. Tears fell quietly. Every chord carried decades of respect, every lyric felt like a living memory of Chuck’s courage and kindness. When the last note faded, nobody moved. The silence said everything — George Strait, Alan Jackson, and a farewell that no one in that room will ever forget.

“THIS SONG WAS NEVER MEANT TO BE HEARD” — VINCE GILL RECORDED A SECRET TRACK ABOUT HIS FATHER AND LOCKED IT AWAY FOR YEARS. Vince Gill never needed to prove anything. His voice alone could carry more grief than most people dare to speak out loud. 20 Grammy Awards — more than any male country artist in history. Yet the song that meant the most to him was one he never released. After losing his father, Vince walked into the studio alone. No band, no engineer. Just a guitar and a voice barely holding together. He recorded a song about the man who taught him everything — then locked the tape away and told no one. Years later, that recording quietly surfaced. And when his voice cracks on the second verse — still raw, still aching — you realize some music isn’t made for charts. It’s made to say what a son never could while his father was still alive 😢
