Ella Langley Clears Up Rumors After Playful Onstage Moment About Riley Green

A playful moment on stage recently sent fans into a frenzy, and now Ella Langley is finally clearing things up.

Months ago, rumors started circulating that Langley might be romantically involved with Riley Green after the release of their viral hit You Look Like You Love Me. Although neither artist has confirmed the speculation, fans have continued to talk about their undeniable chemistry both in the music video and during live performances.

The song went on to achieve major success, winning Visual Media of the Year and Single of the Year at the Academy of Country Music Awards in 2025. It also earned Musical Event of the Year at the Country Music Association Awards in 2024. With that level of success, the rumors surrounding the two artists only grew stronger.

Speculation intensified even more when Megan Moroney became part of the conversation. Some fans began pointing out what they believed were subtle hints that Green and Moroney might be dating. Among those clues were a man’s watch—thought by some to belong to Green—spotted in the background of one of Moroney’s Instagram photos, along with a few playful comments Green left on her posts using his dog’s account.

These small details quickly sparked rumors that Green might have moved on from Langley to Moroney. However, none of the artists involved have ever confirmed those claims.

The speculation reached another level when Langley reacted to a fan sign during a live show. The sign read, “Wink if Riley’s a dumba–,” and Langley responded with an exaggerated wink, which many fans interpreted as a hint about their relationship.

But in a recent interview, Langley explained that the moment was taken out of context. She revealed that Green even texted her the next day joking about the viral clip.

Langley said the wink was simply her sense of humor and nothing more. According to her, she was just responding to a joke in the moment as herself—not making any kind of statement about Green or their relationship.
