‘Teething baby calls for snuggles and celery’: Brittany Mahomes shares raw mum moment with baby Golden

Life away from the stadium lights looks very different right now for Brittany Mahomes — and she’s not pretending otherwise.

On Wednesday, the Kansas City Current co-founder gave fans a relatable, emotional glimpse into motherhood, sharing a quiet moment with her 1-year-old daughter Golden, who’s currently battling teething pain.

“Snuggles and celery” — the reality of mum life

In the short clip, baby Golden rests her head against Brittany’s chest in a leopard-print baby carrier, looking tired, uncomfortable and in need of comfort.

The caption said everything:

“Teething baby calls for snuggles and celery.”

No perfection.
No posing.
Just the kind of day every parent recognises instantly.

From tears to birthday joy

While Golden was having a tough moment this week, just weeks earlier she was all smiles celebrating her first birthday.

The Mahomes family marked the milestone with a flower-themed party full of colour, laughter and chaos — the good kind.

Golden wore:

  • Orange flower sunglasses

  • A tiny “One” crown

While siblings Sterling, 4, and Bronze, 3, ran wild through:

  • A bouncy castle

  • Ball pits

  • Slides

  • And clouds of cotton candy

Celebrated our Golden girl with the best crew,” Brittany wrote — later adding:

“My baby is ONE This baby girl is pure joy.”

Family time hits different this season

These moments are carrying extra meaning right now.

Husband Patrick Mahomes is currently sidelined at home recovering after surgery to repair a torn ACL and LCL, suffered late in the Chiefs’ December loss to the Chargers.

With football paused and rehab ongoing, the Mahomes family has been leaning into togetherness — messy days, quiet snuggles, and all.

Three kids, full hearts — and that’s enough

Despite clearly embracing life as a family of five, Brittany has been honest about one thing:
they’re not planning more children anytime soon.

Speaking previously on a podcast, she said:

“We’re done for a while. Three… I think three is all I need.”

For many mums watching, that honesty hit home just as much as the teething clip.

ERIC CHURCH STOPPED HIS SHOW — NOT FOR A SONG, BUT TO SAY THANK YOU. Fifteen years earlier, when doors in country music kept closing, Toby Keith was the one who picked up the phone. “Hey man… I hear something real in what you’re doing. Why don’t you come play some shows with me?” One call. One invitation. One tour that changed everything. That night in Omaha, Eric didn’t talk about charts or awards. He talked about losing a friend — the man who said yes when no one else would. Then he sang “Don’t Let the Old Man In.” Not as a performance. But as a goodbye. Some songs end when the music fades. Others keep walking forward through the people they lifted along the way. Toby Keith may be gone. But the hand that once opened doors is still guiding those who walk through them.

BREAKING — Reba McEntire has officially been named one of TIME Magazine’s Top 100 Most Influential People of 2026… and the moment she stepped into the room, everyone understood why. No flash. No entourage. Just Reba McEntire — calm, gracious, carrying the weight of decades of songs that told the truth in a voice millions have trusted.

When Reba McEntire was officially named one of Time Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People of 2026, the announcement alone carried weight. But it was not the headline…

At a stripped-down tribute night in Oklahoma, the room felt unusually still when Alan Jackson invited Zach Bryan to share the microphone. It started gently. Alan Jackson’s voice—calm, familiar, steady as memory—set the tone. Then Zach Bryan came in, rough-edged and unguarded, singing like he wasn’t trying to impress anyone at all. Halfway through the song, Alan Jackson stopped. “I’ve heard that voice before,” he said softly. “Not on the radio. In my past.” A name from the 1990s. A letter never answered. A truth that had waited too long. The audience couldn’t tell if this was part of the tribute—or something far more personal. And when the song ended unfinished, curiosity hung heavier than applause.
