After more than two years of battling various autoimmune diseases in the United States, the “Queen of All Media” Kris Aquino is back in the country. Her arrival in the country with her youngest son Bimby was met with prayers and support from her fans who have long been waiting for her to step foot on her chosen land again.
In an emotional statement, Kris was 100% honest about the true state of her health. She shared that when she flew to America, she had three diagnosed autoimmune conditions. But as time went by, her situation became more complicated. Currently, Kris has been confirmed to be suffering from six diseases: Autoimmune Thyroiditis, Chronic Spontaneous Urticaria, Churg-Strauss Syndrome (a rare form of vasculitis), Systemic Sclerosis, Lupus, and Rheumatoid Arthritis. According to the actress, they are still waiting for results for two other possible conditions.

Kris’ decision to return to the Philippines was not just due to homesickness, but also due to medical necessity. She is scheduled to undergo her second round of “immunosuppressant infusions”—a more gentle term for chemotherapy—in two to three weeks. But more than medicine, Kris admits that she needs the emotional support and strong faith that only her siblings, cousins, close friends, and her trusted team of doctors in the Philippines can provide.

“What was once a fight to improve my health is now a struggle to protect my vital organs,” Kris said. She emphasized that this is the “fight of her life.” Despite this, Kris did not forget to thank all the people who supported her in America, including her “adoptive family” there, her nurses, and her doctors.
He also expressed special gratitude for his source of strength, his son Bimby, whom he called “God’s biggest blessing.” While Kris is currently resting and preparing for the next phase of his treatment, his eldest son Josh will remain in America for a few weeks before returning to the country.
Kris Aquino’s return is a reminder of her unwavering courage. In the face of so many health challenges, her hope and faith remain alive. The entire nation unites in praying for her full recovery and strength.
