Ludwigshafen (Rheinland-Pfalz) –Tragisches Unglück am Sonntagabend: Ein Fußgänger wurde von einer Straßenbahn erfasst und starb noch am Unfallort.Gegen 21.45 Uhr kam es an der Kreuzung Saarlandstraße/Von-Weber-Straße zu dem tödlichen Zusammenstoß. Nach Angaben vonPolizeiund Staatsanwaltschaft soll der 41-Jährige die Saarlandstraße bei Rot überquert haben.

Fußgänger läuft bei RotDer 39-jährige Straßenbahnfahrer kam aus Richtung Heinigstraße und fuhr in Richtung Rheingönheimer Straße. Doch die Straßenbahn konnte nicht mehr rechtzeitig stoppen und erfasste den Fußgänger.Der Mann erlitt schwerste Verletzungen und starb trotz eingeleiteter Reanimation noch an derUnfallstelle.
