CHIEFS’ CHRISTMAS EXPLOSION GOES VIRAL: NFL FANS “LOSE IT” AS MYSTERIOUS FIGURE APPEARS ON THE FIELD!

Forget Elf on the Shelf — this year, it’s all about the Kelce on the Shelfie!

Travis Kelce, the Kansas City Chiefs superstar, stars in the team’s annual holiday short, with a playful claymation version of the tight end running wild through Arrowhead Stadium in a festive “Merry Mischief,” according to a trailer released on Tuesday, Dec. 2.

Travis Kelce Transforms Into an Animated Elf in Merry Mischief Short With a Special Surprise Guest as Narrator

The short film follows the adventures of an Elf on the Shelf — cleverly named “Kelce on the Shelfie” — who finds himself home alone at Chiefs’ GEHA Field while quarterback Patrick Mahomes and the rest of the team are away for a game. But don’t be fooled: through the magical elf’s mischief and antics, he ultimately rallies the team and Chiefs Kingdom just in time for their big Christmas Day matchup against the Denver Broncos.

The magic doesn’t stop with Kelce’s elf form. The claymation short gets an extra dose of heart thanks to its loving narrator — none other than Kelce’s mom, Donna Kelce. “‘Twas the month before Christmas, almost the Thanksgiving game. When the Chiefs found an elf, one that needed a name,” she begins, her voice layered over charming visuals of the clay figure wearing his No. 87 jersey. The elf suggests the name “Kelce on a Shelfie,” and Donna narrates, “From that moment on, he was part of the team. A match made in heaven, almost like a dream! The team went off to play their game, but the elf had big plans while they were away.”

The full extent of the elf’s hijinks will be revealed in the full short, premiering on Dec. 24. Other Chiefs players, including Trent McDuffie, Chris Jones, George Karlaftis, and Xavier Worthy, also appear in claymation form, adding to the fun and festive chaos. This year’s Chiefs holiday short is part of Kingdom Christmas, the team’s way of celebrating the holiday season ahead of their Christmas Day game against Denver, marking the third consecutive year the Chiefs have played on Christmas.

Chiefs President Mark Donovan said in a statement, “The holidays have always been about bringing people together, and there’s nothing quite like the energy in Chiefs Kingdom this time of year. Christmas gives us a unique opportunity to unite our fans, celebrate our community, and create moments that last forever.”

Beyond the short film, the Chiefs invite fans to join in a full “Month of Mischief,” featuring the Kingdom Scout Elf Contest, Mascot Meet-Up, Gifting Christmas Day Miracles, and other festive community experiences. The combination of Kelce’s mischievous elf antics, claymation fun, and community events is already lighting up social media, turning Chiefs Kingdom into the ultimate holiday playground. Fans are buzzing with excitement, eagerly sharing clips, speculating on the elf’s antics, and counting down to the Christmas Day premiere.
