It’s been one incredible week at the Ryman Auditorium! Just a day after ERNEST wrapped up his two-night run at the legendary venue — joined by country icons like Dierks Bentley, Jamey Johnson, Dean Dillon, Rhett Akins, and David Lee Murphy — Ella Langley took the stage for the first of her own back-to-back shows, and she did not disappoint.
At the start of the night, Langley kept things smooth and simple, performing fan favorites like “Country Boy’s Dream Girl,” “Girl You’re Taking Home,” and “Nicotine.” Of course, she also wowed the crowd with her new hit “Choosin’ Texas,” the Miranda Lambert co-write that just debuted at #7 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart.
But halfway through the set, the night took a turn no one saw coming.

Ella paused, smiled, and said she had a surprise — and when ERNEST walked back on stage, the Ryman erupted in cheers. The two longtime friends and collaborators were there to debut a brand new song they’d written together called “Loving Life Again.”
ERNEST laughed as the crowd went wild, saying, “I’ve seen this before,” to which Ella grinned and replied, “You were just here.”
Before performing the song, Ella told the crowd that “Loving Life Again” will appear on her upcoming album — her most personal project yet — and that this would be the first time ever she’d played it live.
“This one’s on the next record,” she said. “I’ve never played it live — we’ve only sung it together maybe two or three times since we wrote it. So, we’re gonna test it out tonight for y’all. This one’s about everything I’ve been through lately — it’s called ‘Loving Life Again.’”
The song itself is classic Ella Langley — heartfelt, honest, and soaked in Southern soul. It tells the story of rediscovering happiness after heartbreak, of finding peace in the small things that make life worth living again.
“Seasons come and seasons go, I guess,
Ain’t it just like me making all this mess…
When skies are always summertime blue…”
In the chorus, she takes listeners home to Alabama — back to the open fields, pine trees, and simple joys that shaped her spirit:
“And just like that, I’m back to loving life again,
Dreaming dreams about back home, riding on the wind…”
It’s a beautiful, hopeful track — the kind that makes you want to roll down your windows and take the long way home.
After a challenging year full of ups and downs — from her CMA Award nominations to her recent break for health reasons — seeing Ella back on stage, radiating strength and joy, was nothing short of inspiring.
While there’s no official release date yet, fans can safely bet “Loving Life Again” will appear alongside recent singles like “Choosin’ Texas,” “Never Met Anyone Like You” (with HARDY), and her teaser track “I Gotta Quit” on her highly anticipated album next year.
And judging by the crowd’s reaction at the Ryman, “Loving Life Again” might just become her next big anthem.
