Many netizens praised Vice Ganda for successfully handling the misunderstandings that occurred during the It’s Showtime segment “Laro Laro Pick.”
In the live presentation of the noontime show this Saturday, September 13, 2025, those who played in the segment were water delivery riders, street vendors, and dishwashers.
They also played with some of the co-hosts of It’s Showtime.
The first error occurred in choosing the player to play in the jackpot round from the four remaining contestants.
The remaining four who advanced to be selected for the jackpot round were Karylle, Teddy Corpuz, the dishwasher Kath, and the delivery rider Bunso.

Four small tables were placed in front of the four of them, with four powder sprays placed on them.
The one who gets the spray with pink powder will play in the jackpot round.
Three powder sprays emitted blue powder, while the spray Teddy was holding did not work.
That’s what contains the pink powder.
Vice declared that the result should be repeated because the pink powder did not come out.

There was a short break first to decide how they would choose the winner.
When It’s Showtime returns to the air, there are four lightsticks stuck on the table. The one who pulls out the longest lightstick will play in the jackpot round.
And the lucky one who got it was Kath from Bulacan.

If Kath answers correctly, she will take home the pot money. But if she answers incorrectly, she will take home no money.
In the end, Kath chose the offer of PHP50,000.
After Kath chose PHP50,000, Vice read the jackpot question for her.
Vice said: “This is our question for you. Maybe those at home and the Madlang People know as well.
“The question is… This is what we were taught in school, even in grade school. ‘What is an alias…’ Do you know anything about Philippine history?”
Kath replied, “Oh, nothing.”
Vice continued: “This has to do with Philippine history. ‘What is the alias or pen name of the hero Gregorio del Pilar that is derived from the letters of his surname?’
“What is Gregorio del Pilar’s alias or pen name, do you know? You don’t know. Who knows?”

Some in the audience noticed that the question was wrong, and Vice realized it too.
Vice said, “What? I am just reading the question that is in… Okay.”
The TV host-comedian turned to the staff: “Hey, you really are. The question is wrong.”
Vice said to Kath: “It’s a good thing you didn’t choose this because we’d be in trouble again.
“I would like to apologize. The question is wrong.”
“The correct question is… Because I’m just reading, but the correct…
“The question posed in what I read was: ‘What is the alias…’
“I feel like I’m going to faint… ‘or the pen name of the hero Gregorio del Pilar that comes from the letters of his last name read out loud?’
“What we wanted to ask was… because the answer given here is Plaridel.
“But we can’t say that Plaridel is correct if the name being referred to is wrong.
“That’s right, Plaridel is not an alias of Gregorio del Pilar. Right? Because Plaridel is an alias of Marcelo del Pilar.”
