Reba McEntire knows how to put on a show, and her performance of “Fancy” at the CMAs proved it once again!
She kicked things off in a dramatic lilac feathered robe, setting the stage for her 1990 hit. Fans familiar with the song knew the story was just beginning: “We didn’t have money for food or rent… Then Mama spent every last penny we had / To buy me a dancin’ dress.”

True to the lyrics, Reba quickly shed the robe to reveal a flowing red V-neck dress paired with matching heels. But she didn’t stop there — as the song built, she tore off the red dress to reveal a sparkling sequined jumpsuit underneath, sending the audience into a frenzy. It was a perfectly theatrical moment for one of country music’s most iconic stars.
Even Garth Brooks couldn’t contain his excitement, shouting on camera, “That was f–king awesome!” Reba’s quick-change extravaganza was definitely a highlight of the night.
While Reba stole the spotlight with her daring outfit changes, other performances also wowed the crowd. One standout moment was Little Big Town’s “Girl Crush” featuring a powerful solo from New Artist of the Year winner, Ashley McBryde.
The night reminded everyone why Reba isn’t just a country star — she’s a true entertainer, capable of turning any song into an unforgettable spectacle.
