A Bold Confession from the “Queen of All Media”

The public was shocked by Kris Aquino’s emotional statement in her latest Instagram update on August 11, 2025. Here, she revealed her decision to undergo six months of preventive isolation in Tarlac to continue intensive treatment against her life-threatening autoimmune diseases .

“Trust me it’s difficult to accept every night when I sleep that there may be no tomorrow for me,”
said Kris, while admitting her fear every time night falls.

Move to Tarlac for Safety

After nearly two months of staying at a private beach property, Kris decided to move to Alto , a part of the Cojuangco family compound in Tarlac , to ensure her safety while undergoing powerful immunosuppressants that literally destroy her immune system to suppress autoimmune reactions.

“I have another 6-8 hour infusion session in 6 days… I will be in preventive isolation for 6 months.”

Due to being immunocompromised , isolation is very important to prevent any infection that could harm him.

Family Sacrifice: Kuya Josh and Bimby

Kris is not the only one affected by this fight. Even his sons, Kuya Josh and Bimby, are going through emotional trials.

According to Kris, Kuya Josh is experiencing severe trauma after the successive deaths of loved ones such as Cory Aquino , President Noynoy Aquino , and Lola P.

“Kuya is traumatized, visibly shaking, repeating ‘Mama get well, I love you…’”

Meanwhile, Bimby—now 18 years old—serves as Kris’s strength and support. While choosing to be strong, there comes a moment when he can no longer hold back tears amid his mother’s dire situation.

“Bimb has sacrificed much to take care of me… he reminds me I should ‘never surrender.’”

Call for Prayer and Thanksgiving

At the end of her post, Kris wholeheartedly appealed to the public to continue praying for her recovery.

“PLEASE CONTINUE PRAYING, I really need it.”

He also thanked the hospitals and medical teams that continue to help him, such as Makati Medical Center and St. Luke’s BGC , as well as all the doctors, nurses, and medical staff who were with him in the fight.

The Great Enemy: Autoimmune Diseases

Kris has long been open about her battle with EGPA (formerly Churg-Strauss Syndrome) and lupus-like symptoms —rare and dangerous autoimmune diseases that can be fatal if left untreated. Her current treatment is aggressive, has severe side effects, and requires intense mental, emotional, and physical stamina.
