Wearing a black polo shirt and hiding tears behind his shades, Coco couldn’t hold back his emotions as he approached Rivero’s family.

“He was one of the people who taught me how to be a professional, how to respect work and the people around you,” Coco said through tears. “He wasn’t just an actor to me—he was a father figure. He was one of the reasons why I became who I am today.”

According to eyewitnesses, Coco remained by the side of the coffin for a long time, praying silently and seemingly still talking to her mentor. The “Batang Quiapo” star could feel the weight on her chest, especially since they had worked together on several projects before and were close friends behind the camera.
