Viral security officer Earl Nerona-Pressman could no longer hold back and spoke out after the malicious video of him and Marian Rivera went viral.
This is the viral post where you can see the security getting very close to Marian’s chest and the celebrity mom’s reaction that she was uncomfortable with the situation.
There is also a part in the clip where the actress’ lips can be read as saying, “It was a while ago, brother. It was a while ago.”
And because of that, many netizens criticized Earl and accused him of voyeurism with Marian.
The security officer responded via Facebook and explained what really happened.
According to him, the video was intentionally edited to make him look bad and defame him.
“Actually, this is not an issue, the video just went viral because of the person’s one-sided mind. If only the video had been widely available, you would have seen the real situation,” he began in the post, including a picture of him and Marian.
Earl said that the place was very crowded and everyone at the event wanted to get close to Marian.
He said he was there to protect the actress: “How could it be that if I wasn’t in my designation, Marian would have been even more rude and the people who almost approached her would have been unable to stop her.”
He further clarified, “My companion whispered and asked about crowd control and I put my ear close to him as best I could and I hope at least if the video had clear audio, I really apologized, so I put my ear close to my companion because it would be difficult for you to signal, it would be difficult for you to move your body because of the many people around you who would have also been captured on video.”
“There was a crowd trying to get close to Marian and arguing with us, as you can see in the video, who was told ‘Brother, you were here earlier.’ I swear it wasn’t me, he followed her gaze and happened to look at me because my colleagues and I were the ones securing her safety,” he continued.
He also insisted that he and Marian were okay after the incident, so he was even able to take pictures while they were in the holding area.
“We even talked for a while about crowd control and no issues arose. It was just magnified by people who have no other intention than to harm other people and make money by harming other people,” Earl said on FB.
His message to those who edited and spread the malicious video, “So I hope you feel guilty about what you are doing. Don’t be one-sided if you don’t know the whole story.”
“You are making people who work quietly and scrape by every day cry,” he said.
He also mentioned that it had been six months since the said event occurred.
“I hope your conscience will let you sleep for what you are doing. Thank you [smiling face emoji],” said Earl.
