Dingdong Reveals Shocking Secret About Karylle’s ‘Lover Ex’: ‘What They Did To Me Would Make You Stupid

“I will pray for them.” This is the reaction of Dingdong Dantes to the statement made by ex-girlfriend Karylle about their past.

During Tuesday’s press conference for Dantes’ latest drama for GMA, the “faith-  series  ” titled “Pari Koy,” the network’s Primetime King actor was asked about his comment on Karylle’s statement about an ex-boyfriend who cheated on him.

Although the “It’s Showtime” host did not name names, many believe his statement was a dig at Dantes.

According to Dantes, however, it was not right for him to react to an issue in which he was not named. “He didn’t say it was me. So, I don’t want to assume either,” the actor said in Filipino.

“If I react early about a statement that is not clear, it is not correct. For me, I will just pray for them,” the actor added with a smile.

It’s been seven years since Dantes and Karylle broke up, after three years of dating, and now they’re married to their own partners—Dantes to actress Marian Rivera and Karylle to Sponge Cola frontman Yael Yuzon. Dantes said that he hopes that everything will be happy for all of them.

He said he is not affected by the issue. “I’m not confused. i am happy I’m happily married. So, you know, you can’t take that away. But happiness and love replace all negativity, and that’s all that matters.”

But Dantes refuses to answer one question—have he and Karylle patched things up after all these years? “No, I don’t want to answer questions about him. Because, again, I haven’t answered about it yet. Although, I spoke once in a magazine about it and, for me, that’s OK, that’s enough.”

Earlier, before Dantes asked for a comment on the issue, Rivera was also asked about his reaction to Karylle’s statement. The reaction of the actress, who is also known as GMA’s Primetime Queen, was: “Why, is Dingdong her ex? If [Karylle] will confirm that she is indeed talking about Dingdong, I will only react there.”   Ervin Santiago
